WHAT: Virtutech, Inc., the leader in Virtualized Systems Development (VSD), will demonstrate an integration of its Simics, Ready for Rational™ platform with IBM® Rational® Build Forge®.

WHY:Today’s systems include an increasing number of multi-CPU/ASIC/FPGA/DSP, platforms or network connected servers. As a result, the complexity and effort of developing, building, testing and integrating these systems has become a major challenge to many development teams.

These challenges are eased through the adoption of VSD; the process of developing, integrating and testing full systems software like OS, driver, communication and application software, on a virtual system instead of real hardware. The use of a flexible virtualized system instead of rigid physical hardware dramatically improves “what-if?” scenarios for design exploration, early-integration, development team collaboration and debugging.
