Virtutech Names Michel Genard as Vice President of Marketing

Industry Veteran Brings More Than 20 Years of Experience to Virtualized Software Development Company

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, Calif. — May 14, 2007 — Virtutech, Inc., the leading provider of virtualized software development solutions for embedded electronic systems, today announced the appointment of Michel Genard as vice president of marketing. In his role, Genard will drive Virtutech’s brand and global marketing programs. Genard has more than 20 years of experience in the hardware and software embedded market. Most recently, Genard served as executive vice president of sales and business development at TimeSys Corp., a software developer provider for the embedded Linux market. He also held an executive vice president of marketing position there, successfully defining and launching LinuxLink, a new product offering and go-to-market plan that positioned TimeSys in the Software as a Service category.

Prior to TimeSys, Genard worked at VirtualLogix (formerly Jaluna) as vice president of marketing and business development. There, he helped establish the company’s U.S. office and oversaw VirtualLogix’s business and product strategy, as well as corporate communications. Genard also spent several years at Wind River in various executive positions. During his 12-year tenure there, Genard conceived and implemented Wind River’s first wholly owned subsidiary in Europe. After moving to the United States, Genard continued his career with Wind River and served as general manager of the Hardware-Assisted and Stand-Alone Tools Product Division, and finally vice president, platforms marketing.
