Virtutech Simics grew out of academic research at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. It has a long and continuing tradition of use by academia where it serves both as the subject of, and platform for, independent research projects.
Below is a sample of these research publications. Topics include computer architecture design, multiprocessor/multicore communications, multithreaded systems, communications and shared memory, large scale network simulations, operating systems, and high availability & fault tolerance.
